Community Worship and Worship Sharing Groups at Summer Sessions
NYYM's online Summer Sessions is July 19-31. Registration is open! Here are two ways to nurture your Spirit during Summer Sessions.
Worship sharing groups meet for about an hour a day during the first or second week of Summer Sessions, with two groups that meet weekly and continue into August. When you register for Summer Sessions, you can choose to join a general worship group or an affinity group: Earthcare, Aging, Women, Men, Racial Justice and Healing, Continuing Revelation, Young Adult-led, and Parents. Worship sharing groups are an opportunity to connect with others in a small group setting for sharing around queries, life circumstances, and how Spirit is working in your life.
You can sign up for a worship sharing group when you register for Summer Sessions. Signing up is a commitment to that group for the time of that worship, to enable a sense of community to grow within the group. It is this sense of community that makes worship sharing groups a highlight of Summer Sessions for many Friends.
Intergenerational community worship is a wonderful way to start a day of Summer Sessions. Join with Friends of all ages for a story, a song, or perhaps a query or some interactive elements, followed by a brief period of silent worship. It will be held about every other day at 9:30-10:15 a.m., on Tuesday July 21, Thursday July 23, Saturday July 25, Tuesday July 28, and Thursday July 30. (On other days, bible study led by Lucy Price will start at 10:30 a.m.; see the schedule.)
Register to sign up to receive the Zoom links for all events! See you "there!"
