Farmington Scipio Regional Meeting Establishes a Fund to Help Connect Regional Youth to Powell House!

Introducing the Anne Haywood Memorial Youth Fund! Anne
Haywood was a member of Rochester MM, a pediatrician, and an advocate
for children. Following her death, a fund was created with the dear
hope that it be used to enable young people to benefit from the
offerings of NYYM's retreat center, Powell House, located in Old
Chatham, NY. This fund is available to all youth associated with
Farmington Scipio Regional Meeting, including children of Friends who
are incarcerated in our region. Youth need not be Friends themselves;
only an association is necessary. The fund may also be used to cover
transportation costs, including accommodation at Powell House (sometimes
called 'PoHo') for adult transporters. Applications are considered on a
case-by-case basis by the region's Ministry and Counsel. We are eager to share these funds and help youth from this part of NYYM attend Powell House workshops!
